The Saviair 500 How It Works The Saviair 500 Portable Electronic Air Cleaner is designed to be the perfect One Room Air Cleaner. Polluted Air is drawn in the front of the Saviair 500 Air Cleaner. The Pre-Filter catches large particulate such as hair and lint. The finer particulate then passes through the ionizing or charging section of the Electronic Cell. All pollutants take on a positive electrical charge. The pollutants then enter the Collecting Plate section of the Electronic Cell where they attract and stick to the alternately negative and neutral collecting plates. The clean air then passes through an optional Carbon Filter for enhanced removal of odors, gases and chemicals. On the exhaust of the Saviair 500 there is an independently controlled Negative Ion Emitter that adds negative ions to the clean air for balanced fresh air.
