Coronavirus (COVID-19) - Statement From Platinum Air Care
Date: March 18, 2020
To Our Valued Customers,
During this Coronavirus (COVID-19) situation we at Platinum Air Care are adapting day-by-day to ensure continued support to our customers as there is no specific “rule-book” for these circumstances. We are closely and actively following recommendations from Canada’s health organization and the World Health Organization to ensure safety to our customers and staff.
First and foremost; we are currently active in business, service calls and no-heat calls. All of our previously booked appointments with our customers are and have been followed-up giving our customers the opportunity to reschedule or cancel their appointments. No-heat service calls are still being fulfilled, with the weather still reaching below 0° degrees in late nights, it’s still a necessity to have your equipment in working order.
Second; our technicians and staff. In our office environment we have taken as many steps as possible to ensure cleanliness by consistently disinfecting any objects that would regularly be handled. This ranges from door knobs, phones, all the way to the tools and products our technicians bring inside your home. Any staff member or technician that has any symptoms of sickness is required to stay home until further notice. Technicians that enter the homes of customers are to have disinfected and/or washed their hands upon entry of the customers home.
Third; our air purification products. We have been receiving many calls and emails about our air purifier units during this time. The main question asked is can our products cure the COVID-19 virus, and the answer is NO.
Our products will greatly improve the air quality in your home by disrupting airborne viruses, bacteria, molds and are a useful tool to stopping “sick building syndrome”. However, we currently do not have any lab studies to test if our products specifically disrupt the COVID-19 virus. All we can say is many other viruses have been neutralized under the Platinum PCO Ultra-Violet Light System and the RPS 600SL Portable Air Purification System.
We believe by taking extra precautions we can safely serve our customers.
Thank you and best wishes for your safety,
Management of Platinum Air Care
