How the Platinum TrueHEPA Works
Platinum TrueHEPA combines two particle capture technologies, TFP and HEPA, to clean the air throughout your home.
The particle capture efficiency and non-loading characteristics of the TFP primary cartridge capture fine particles and ensure maximum HEPA (High Efficiency Particulate Air) performance and filter life.
In the Platinum TrueHEPA Air Cleaner, the walls of the internal airway which the dirty air passes through are made of a fabric that traps particles as they are flung out of the airstream. The result is a high rate of removal of even the smallest particles, with no loading of the primary TFP cartridge to obstruct airflow.

How a Furnace HEPA Bypass System Cleans the Whole House
The Platinum TrueHEPA works with all central air heating and cooling systems. It is installed directly onto the return plenum of your furnace, out of sight, and because it is self-powered and normally installed in a bypass configuration, it does not affect the performance of your air distribution system.

Will the Platinum TrueHEPA work in any kind of home?
The Platinum TrueHEPA Air Cleaner works with all central air heating and cooling systems and is installed directly onto the return plenum of the HVAC system.
How much does a whole-house HEPA filter system cost?
It depends on the equipment and on the house: a portable and a duct-mounted install are not the same job, and what suits one home is wrong for the next. That is what the free in-home air test is for, and it costs nothing.
Will the Platinum TrueHEPA help with allergies?
Many allergies are caused by exposure to airborne allergens, including pollen and fungus spores. The Platinum TrueHEPA captures 99.97% of the submicroscopic airborne particulates (0.3 microns) and even more of the larger particles, such as pet dander and dust mite feces. Those are the things most people react to, so less of them in your air can only help.
There is a smoker in my home. Will the Platinum TrueHEPA help?
Yes. The Platinum TrueHEPA can remove about 90% of the particles contained in tobacco smoke. The gases and odor in smoke are a different job: the Platinum PURE treats those on the same furnace.
Will it affect the performance of my air distribution system?
No. Platinum TrueHEPA is self-powered and is normally installed in a bypass configuration.
How can a bypass system clean all the air in the house?
In an average 2,500 sq. ft. home, all the air passes through the furnace 4.5 times every hour. With Platinum TrueHEPA in a bypass configuration, drawing off 10% of the air continuously, 45% of the air will be cleaned every hour. Depending on the condition of the home, all the air will pass through the Platinum TrueHEPA 10 times every 24 hours. The TrueHEPA cycles through the air from both the small rooms and the large rooms.
Does it have to run continuously to keep the air clean?
You will get the maximum benefit from your Platinum TrueHEPA Air Cleaner if it runs continuously. A timer can be used to save energy if the house is left empty for extended periods of time.
Will I still need filters in my furnace?
Yes, as they help keep your furnace free of dust and dirt, and by intercepting large particles they reduce the load on the Platinum TrueHEPA unit. This helps it do what it does best: trap the very small particles that pass through the furnace filter.
How much maintenance is needed?
We recommend an annual check-up to make sure the fan and motor are in good operating condition. The collectors and HEPA filters should be checked and replaced as necessary. No clean-out is needed. Unlike other air cleaners, Platinum TrueHEPA’s TFP collector is used as a pre-filter, so the HEPA filter, and in fact the whole unit, needs less maintenance.

How quickly will I notice a difference?
An improvement in air quality is often apparent within 12 hours of continuous use after turning on the Platinum TrueHEPA.
Will we dust and vacuum less often?
The Platinum TrueHEPA Air Cleaner removes almost 100% of the larger particles circulating in the air, such as dust. Airborne dust is what settles on your furniture and floors, so less of it in the air means less of it to clean.

Low-Maintenance Furnace HEPA Filter With a 5-Year Warranty
Unlike other air cleaners, Platinum TrueHEPA’s TFP collector is used as a pre-filter, so the HEPA filter, and in fact the whole unit, needs less maintenance. The flow-through TFP collector is a one-year replacement, the HEPA filter is rated to last up to three years with little to no performance drop, and no clean-out is needed.
We recommend an annual check-up to make sure the fan and motor are in good operating condition. The Platinum TrueHEPA has a 5-year warranty, and it is made in Canada.
