Who makes York furnaces and air conditioners?
York traces its roots to 1874 in York, Pennsylvania, and later joined Johnson Controls. Today York’s residential and light commercial line is part of Bosch Home Comfort Group, and York remains a registered trademark of Johnson Controls.
Is Platinum Air Care a York dealer?
Yes. York is what we install: York furnaces and central air conditioners, sized to your home and installed by licensed HVAC technicians across London and Southwestern Ontario.
What warranty comes with a York furnace?
York gives its longest coverage to registered equipment: on York’s warranty page, its furnaces carry a lifetime heat exchanger and a 10-year parts limited warranty when the furnace is registered online within 90 days of installation. When your system is purchased and installed by Platinum Air Care, we don’t just offer the manufacturer warranty, we back it up.
Can a heat pump work with my furnace?
Yes. York pairs heat pumps with furnaces in what it calls a hybrid system: the heat pump heats and cools, and the furnace backs it up in extreme cold. We install heat pumps as well as furnaces and air conditioners. Call and tell us about your house and how you heat it now.
Do you only work on York equipment?
No. York is what we install, but we repair and service most furnaces and air conditioners already in Southwestern Ontario homes, including Luxaire, Carrier, Lennox, Trane, Goodman, American Standard, Rheem, KeepRite, Ameristar, Daikin, and Amana. Yes. Luxaire and York are made by the same company, and we still service the Luxaire systems we have installed over the years. If you have one, you are in the right place.
How much does a new York furnace or air conditioner cost?
It depends on the equipment and on the house: the series, the size your home needs, your ductwork, and what the install involves. That is what the quote is for, and it costs nothing.
