Platinum Air Care’s RPS 600S is a portable air purifier. It works in multiple stages, helping to disinfect airborne bacteria, viruses, and microorganisms while removing particulates from the air, to improve the indoor air quality in your home or workplace.
The RPS 600S is a 6-stage air purifier system. It is designed to be beautiful, with contemporary styling on the outside, sophisticated technology on the inside, and powerful airflow performance throughout.

How the RPS 600S cleans the air in six stages
The air quality is improved and cleansed in six stages, from the permanent pre-filter to the negative ion generator.

Pre-filter
This first-line anti-bacterial filter is a permanent filter that traps large particles.

Electrostatic precipitator collection cell
The lifetime warranty cell captures airborne particles as small as 0.01 microns in size. In the ionizing section of the electronic cell, billions of microscopic particles become electrically charged as they pass through the powerful electric field. The collector plates immediately attract and collect these charged dust and dirt particles.

Volatile organic compound (VOC) filter
This activated carbon filter absorbs and reduces volatile organic compounds such as odors, chemicals, gaseous pollutants, and smoke.

Dual ultra-violet lights (UV)
The UV sterilization chamber helps to reduce or kill bacteria and viral microorganisms, as well as other harmful contaminants.

Photo-catalytic filter
The powerful UV light is reflected throughout the chamber, coming in contact with the photocatalytic filter. This powerful combination quickly and efficiently amplifies the effectiveness of the UV lights.

Negative ion generator
Negative ions help make the air feel cleaner and fresher. The ionizer has its own on/off button, so you can run the RPS 600S with it or without it.

Combined, the six stages capture and purify up to 99.99% of particulates.
Its filters reduce or remove pollutants such as odors, smoke, dust, pollen, mold, allergens, pet dander, pet hair, viruses, bioaerosols, nitrous oxides, and any other airborne pollutant capable of passing through the RPS 600S, all of which are commonly found in the air of your home or workplace.
Dust, pollen, and pet dander are the things most people react to, so less of them in your air can only help.
Multi-stage air purifying technologies
The electronic cell and ultra-violet light PCO technology combine to remove airborne microorganisms. The RPS 600S destroys harmful pollutants, creating clean air.
Better performance than older models
Compared to older models, the RPS 600S includes an extra ultra-violet lamp, improved airflow, lower power consumption, and stronger structural integrity. Combined with the photocatalytic filter chamber (composed of titanium dioxide), this increases its capability to reduce or destroy bacteria, microorganisms, and viruses using UV-PCO technology.

Replacement filters, UV bulbs, and service
The same replacement carbon (VOC) filter and UV bulb 2-pack fit the RPS 600S, as well as the RPS 600SL and the RespirAide 200T, 300T, and 400T.
- Carbon filter: change it twice a year for effective odor control, three times a year for everyday use, or four times a year for the best odor control (recommended for smokers, or areas with a lot of chemical odors).
- UV bulbs: once a year.

Does the RPS 600S have a HEPA filter?

How often do I change the carbon filter and UV bulbs?
Change the carbon filter twice a year for effective odor control, three times a year for everyday use, or four times a year for the best odor control (recommended for smokers, or areas with a lot of chemical odors). The UV bulbs need replacing once a year. Order filters and UV bulbs from our online store.
How often should I clean the electronic cell?
Every 3 to 6 months for non-smokers and once a month for smokers, and at least each time you change the carbon filter. How often depends on the number of occupants, pets, and smoke. Our step-by-step cleaning instructions show how, and Platinum Cell Cleaner is the formula our technicians use.
How loud is the RPS 600S?

Can I turn off the UV lights and the ionizer?
Yes. The UV lights and the negative ionizer each have an easy on/off button, so you can run the RPS 600S to suit your preference. The included remote control changes fan speeds, turns the unit on or off, and sets the 2-, 4-, or 8-hour timer.
