Who delivers the gas and electricity for Barrie water heaters?
Enbridge Gas delivers the natural gas, and says it knows of no other gas distributor holding a certificate for any part of the city; it also holds the gas franchises for Innisfil, Springwater, Oro-Medonte, and Essa, which border Barrie. Alectra Utilities, whose territory covers 17 Ontario communities, Barrie among them, delivers the electricity. Enbridge Gas itself does not sell or repair water heaters; for repairs and maintenance, it tells homeowners to find an HVAC contractor.
