HVAC Services in Aylmer, Ontario

Common questions

Do you repair furnaces and air conditioners in Aylmer?

Yes. York is what we install, but we repair and service most furnaces and air conditioners already in Southwestern Ontario homes. If yours is a make we cannot get parts for, we will tell you before we book the visit.

Do you replace furnaces in Aylmer?

Yes. Whether to repair or replace depends on three things: how old the furnace is, how often it has needed work lately, and whether the repair is a small part or a major component. A new one is sized to your home and your ducts, not just matched to the old unit's label.

Do you install air conditioners in Aylmer?

Yes. York is what we install, and whatever make is outside your home now, we remove the existing unit and install a York sized to your house. A new outdoor unit is matched to your furnace and coil, so the two work as one system instead of against each other.

Who supplies natural gas in Aylmer?

EPCOR, which has served Elgin, Middlesex, Oxford, and Norfolk counties since 2017, at rates set by the Ontario Energy Board. Electricity comes from ERTH Power, which also serves Port Stanley, Belmont, and Ingersoll.

What size furnace or heat pump does an Aylmer home need?

Ontario's Building Code has no row for Aylmer, so the towns around it set the range: a January design temperature of −15°C at Port Stanley, −16°C at St. Thomas, and −17°C at Tillsonburg, the outdoor temperature heating systems there are ordinarily designed for, and 3,780 (St. Thomas) to 3,850 (Port Stanley) heating degree-days a year. A third of Aylmer's homes (32.8%) were built in 1960 or earlier. Which size suits a house comes down to its ductwork, insulation, and windows.
