York TM9V: A 96% AFUE Two-Stage Gas Furnace
Every size of the TM9V is rated 96% AFUE (annual fuel utilization efficiency): over a heating season, about 96% of the gas it burns becomes heat for your home.
Its burner has two stages, a low stage at 65% of full input and a high stage for full heat, so the furnace can match its output to the weather instead of running flat out every time it starts. A variable-speed ECM blower moves the air, adjusting its speed to keep the airflow steady as the resistance from your filter and ducts changes.
The TM9V works with a communicating control or a conventional thermostat, and an adjustable delay timer lets it run both stages even on a single-stage thermostat. Thermostat installation

Benefits
Why a Two-Stage, Variable-Speed Furnace Like the TM9V
-
More heat from your gas
With 96% AFUE in every size, very little of the gas you pay for is lost, so more of it warms your home.
-
Even, consistent temperatures
Two stages let the TM9V shift its output to track the temperature more closely than a furnace that only runs at full heat.
-
Quiet, steady airflow
The variable-speed ECM blower sets its own pace to keep the airflow steady, inside an insulated blower compartment.
-
Cleaner air, all year
Continuous fan settings keep air moving through your filter, and the filter sits outside the cabinet, with room for a better one or a whole-home air cleaner.
